The primary purpose of our Scholarship Foundation is to operate for the advancement of education and for other charitable purposes.

The Foundation offers scholarship money to boys and girls in Broward County, Florida, who have distinguished themselves as quality individuals with a high grade point average, but who do not have the financial means to attend college without the help of financial aid.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Each month during the school year, the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale North honors an outstanding student from Northeast High School, Fort Lauderdale High School, Cardinal Gibbons High School or Westminster Academy. The student is invited to lunch and receives recognition for his/her good work and a check for $100.00.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale North awards five $2,500.00 scholarships annually to graduating seniors who apply for and qualify for the scholarships. Students from Northeast High School, Fort Lauderdale High School, Cardinal Gibbons High School or Westminster Academy may apply.

In addition, the Rotary Club provides $2,500.00 renewal scholarships for the four year term the student attends college and maintains a 3.0 GPA.

The Rotary Club also provides two Vocational and Certificate scholarships of $1000 each to deserving students at Broward Community College and Atlantic Technical Center.

Rotary Scholarship Mentoring Program
The purpose of the Scholarship Mentoring Program is to provide resources, other than money, that will aid students through their educational process.

Students will be matched closely with Rotarians who share common interests.

The program will encourage scholarship recipients to attend Rotary meetings at their college location through a "sister" club in addition to attending at least one meeting per year at our club.

The result should make the Rotary experience more personal than just receiving a check in an envelope once a year.
